These collimating knobs replace the small slot-head or Allen head collimating screws in the secondary or diagonal mirror housing of reflectors and catadioptric telescopes. They make it easy to tweak the collimation of your telescope out in the field without tools.

With the proper no-tool  knobs installed, you won't have to worry about forgetting to bring the appropriate screwdriver or Allen wrench with you when you observe. Even better, you never have to worry about losing a tiny Allen wrench in the grass in the dark (or worse, accidentally dropping the wrench or screwdriver onto your mirror).
